Block Mascot Maker

Draw a small mascot on a block grid, give it a few frames of animation, and export it: PNG, a sprite sheet, a GIF, a video, an SVG, or a terminal version that prints and animates in colour. Start from Bit, our own mascot, or from a letter, a cube, an orb or a robot.

Nothing uploaded. Your file is not uploaded. The page tells the browser to block its code from connecting to other sites, and the code makes no request that carries your file. How to check that yourself

1. Start from

2. Draw

3. Frames

4. Export

Unlocks go on sale soon. Everything free works now.

5. For the terminal

Two pixels per character, in 24-bit colour. Save a snippet as a file and run it: it prints the mascot and animates it in a terminal; piped or with NO_COLOR it prints one plain frame. The snippets are large (about 170 KB) because they carry every frame, so paste them into a file rather than a chat.

What it never does

Questions

What can I export for free?

PNG (one frame or a sprite sheet), GIF and video up to 256 px, and the terminal snippets in Node and Python. GIF and video carry a small Odd Bits glyph in the corner.

What does the unlock add?

No corner mark, sizes up to 1024 px, and SVG export.

Will it work on my phone?

Drawing works with a finger. Video export needs a browser that supports recording from a canvas; if yours does not, the video button is hidden and GIF still works.

Can I keep working later?

Use “Save project” to download a small file, and “Open project” to load it again. Nothing is stored on a server.
